Garret?s love of music started the day he picked up a copy of
'Know Your
Enemy', the then latest record from Manic Street Preachers. From that moment on,
music became the most important element in his life. He was such a frequent
customer to the local (and only) record store in Drogheda that the manager used
greet him with a grin from ear to ear.
In 2006 he moved to the bright lights of Dublin. Taking in as many gigs as he
can along the way, Garret is a student of commerce in UCD. The usual response to
that is a look of disgust, followed by something along the lines of ?Oh, your
one of them??. He hosts the alternative music show, Air Raid, with like-minded
folk on Belfield FM. He hopes to pursue a career in radio or print journalism,
but concedes that he has most likely consigned himself to a life in accounting
and a mid-life crisis at 28.
