It's a really intimate setting, and just overall cool.
I am quite annoyed that their European tour encompasses only 3 dates, London, Berlin and Paris i think. However I have heard word of another tour in autumn, and they are doing the festivals I believe. | | | |

| The National are ace. Looking forward to the new release. One of the best gigs i've ever been to was The National in Whelans in 2005. Well worth checking out.

Yeah, that was a class gig, but the Nada Surf gig in whelans the year before that was pure amazing.... the lads were nearly crying on stage afterwards...

A friend of mine knows one them quite well and rumour was they were playing in the Village sometime in the autumn alright. We qucikly advised them to change venue.
Is it possible they will play the soon to be announced Irish sister festival to Latitude??
