Amazed this one isn't cited more often (given the legendary status of the artists).... Van Morrison's Almost Independence Day and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. (And Van got in there three years before the Floyd, for the record).

eh.. other than the name, no. They do use some similar chords, Em and C but in nowhere near the same order (OLGA is great init?). Killing moon is a squillion times better too

Amen to that Bino. The opening licks of Killing Moon still make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up 20 years on.

I put a question mark to it cause I've heard some poeople say that before although never too sure myself. Anyway, agree about the Killing Moon being a miles better.

Funny that, cause for some reason that Secret Machines tune reminds me of the Strokes. Nevertheless, I think it's a cracking tune. Don't know The Rakes one.

I can't believe I forgot that one. Don't they have some tune that rips off Deus as well?

I heard that they ripped Pavement Tune off from some Dublin band.

The new Gorillaz tune 'Feel Good Inc' sounds like both 'Staring at the sun' by U2 (chorus) and 'Its Like That' by Run Dmc (verse)

Rev Jules - YES I knew the chorus sounded like something and it's all slotted into pace now.

Adult. "Skinlike" has a melody thats very similar to Flock of Seagulls "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)", the rest of the track is typically Adult. though.
