look, Liam Gallagher is just a publicity seeking whore who mouths off at anyone he can just to get in the Sun before his album is released. He mouthed off at Pete Doherty and then backtracked calling him 'the new me' (liam, not me), and then slagged him again for allowing Kate Moss to jump up on stage at the Trinity Ball. He has slagged off Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and whoever he can in recent weeks, just to get these retarded headlines on NME. The fact is, he doesn't make music interesting enough to make the news, so has to slag those who do in order to get noticed. Pathetic.

There is a new Oasis album in the shop There goes liam gallagher mouthing off at all and sundry draw your own conclusions. heard the album yesterday - jesus christ, what a runt of a record. i propose we all chip in to buy a big bomb to blow marlay park to smithereens when Oasis play there in July I'm usually fairly tolerant but draw the line with this......this......this.......THIS...... rubbish. As for all those 4 out of 5 reviews - did the review copies come with a free line of coke or a six pack taped onto the back? no other explanation for it.

hehehe I love the hatred!! Yea was thinkin myself that he mouthed off about them so much and now wants to work with them and is doin a very 'un Liam' backtracking - probably after reading the letters page of the next issues NME! He probably sees that fact that this newer generation of younger music fans dont give a b****x about OASIS and are more concerned with the arty bands like Bloc Party and Kaisers (and to a certain degree the poetic Doherty). I think hes realising he needs that collabration more than they do... What suprises me tho is... Why the f**k would Bloc Party wanna work with him? Has it been offered and what exactly constitutes a 'Liam worthy' bloc party tune?!?!?

it would be really funny if Bloc Party wrote a totally s**t tune with a wall of guitar solos that ramble on forever and rubbish lyrics and handed it to him "here's your Liam worthy tune". Bloc Party need Oasis like Hotpress needs another Stokes.

In fairness he was probably asked his opinion on all them bands and he just gave it.I doubt he sits at home thinkin Im gonna ring the nme and slag a few bands off.I thought the last 2 albums were b****x but I think the new one is very good. The level of bitterness in this thread is gas.

"I doubt he sits at home thinkin Im gonna ring the nme and slag a few bands off." I imagine Liam to do just that. Oasis still have their two albums worth of moments in the sun, but shut the f**k up slagging bands that are now in the public's eyes 'more relevent' than Oasis - the gigs will still out, the album will go to number one, it will become THE THIRD BEST OASIS ALBUM EVER. Who gives a f**k? It's not bitterness, Liam is the one who is bitter at his fading star.

Ah he does deserve a b****xin' in fairness now... I mean if your gonna mouth off in a weekly music mag about a host of bands that are doin pretty well for whatever reason (ie. sound of the time) whatever... the fact is Oasis are not the band they were in the 90's. So then to turn around a mere week or so later and pretty much make excuses for your opinion just to cover your back and make statements about working with a band who has produced one of the albums of the year so far... and then to also say 'if its good enough' when everything you (or should that be your brother) wrote since your second album is b****x... you are askin for it man.

He was obviously answering a question he was asked in an interview by nme and he gave his opinin on it.The he said yeah i dont like them but if they do a tune thats good enough then I'd do it with them.Whats wrong with that.Hes only saying I dont like their stuff but if they done something that I liked then yeah I'd consider it.Una you seem to have a problem with Oasis.I wonder if it was any other person that made those comments would you be getin so wound up.I doubt it highly.

"jesus Una, I wonder indeed who is the bitter one round here ?? relax will ya !" "Una you seem to have a problem with Oasis.I wonder if it was any other person that made those comments would you be getin so wound up.I doubt it highly." Just because I write angrily doesn't mean I'm angry! I don't have 'a problem' with Oasis. Debates aren't meant for measured rhetoric. This message board wouldn't be very interesting if we all agreed with everything, or at least sat back and were bland about it. Please stop taking my comments so seriously!

And when he was making the *exact* same sort of comments 10 years ago? Was he bitter at his rising star?

actually, now that I think about having 'a problem' with Oasis, I probably do, in the same way I have 'a problem', or more accurately a dislike of bands that make boring middle of the road and unadventurous music, as Oasis are doing right now. Although, saying you have 'a problem' with a band seems to point at some deep lying suburban childhood trama rather than coming out and screaming "I THINK THEY ARE s**t" without backing it up. I think they are s**t now, that is all. Their first two albums are fantastic. And the bands Liam is slaggin off now are better than Oasis are now. Sin E. It's just an opinion.

that said, when it comes to disliking 'a band' as a piece of art, or whatever other external thing that has no involvment in your life, the dislike manifests more in apathy than active hatred. In other words, I'm not an Oasis hating psycho with 'Oasis Are s**t' tshirts. (although, didnt Mogwai have 'Blur Are s**t' Tshirts?)
