Well, whaddya all think ? I liked John Legend the most, thought Martha Wainwright and Frank Black (Black Francis) were minging. Van The Man gets more like Sean Cullen's brilliant impersonation of him, (Thats put the proverbial cat amoung the proverbial pigeons ) All the best Jules (am running for cover now)

There should almost be a section on the discussion board just for 'Later...with Jools Holland', due to all the debate recently. John Legend was very impressive especially the solo performance of 'Ordinary People'. I would have to disagree though Rev Jules as none of the acts were bad on the night, in my opinion. Van Morrison will never be what he used to be, but the way he is now is still enjoyable to listen to and watch. One of the things I've always liked about Van Morrison is his appreciation of his backing band - even Jools had a piano solo. Eels are always great (and I would recommend the new album 'Blinking Lights And Other Revelations'), Kaiser Chiefs were decent and both Frank Black & Martha Wainwright were pretty good. Overall, I thought it was the best so far this season. Next week is: New Order, The Coral, Rufus Wainwright, Faith Evans, James Blunt, Acoustic Ladyland, Son Of Dave

Thought John Legend was brilliant. Think a weekly review of "Jules" is a great idea by the way. Not everyone gets to see it and think its great we're disscussing it post Friday nights... last track by the Kaiser Chiefs was super too.. have not been a fan but I may yet jump ship.
