now theres a band that has grabbed me by the balls. that tune has everything, very dancy but a great song with great lyrics. My fave song at the moment. Pissing everyone off at work listening to it over and over again. BLOWING ALL THE OTHER KIDS AWAY

yeah, completely. I missed them with The Killers when they were doing the $2 tour in the States and again with The Chemical Brothers at the Point. They are definately one of the best bands out there at the moment.

Beck's "Electric Music & The Summer People", an Odelay era B-side and also two non-album Arcade Fire tracks I found on t'net. "Old Flame" is one of them, the other song title escapes me...What a band though.

Not sure. Unless they've released some EPs in the States pre-Funeral. There's a track called Woodland National Anthem also (I aint heard it) and Vampire something something. I read that the B-Side on Laika is great and really bizarre. Some sort of Wartime recording that eventually becomes a dance track? Must check out.

Old Flame is from the "Arcade Fire" E.P., released in 2003 tracklisting is as follows: Old Flame I'm sleeping in a submarine No Cars Go (v. v. v. good) Teh Woodland National Anthem My Heart is an apple Headlights look like diamonds Vampire Forest Fire One song in particular sounds quite a bit like "Almost Crimes" by fellow Canadians Broken Social Scene, the whole thing pretty much sounds like a more poorly produced "Funerals". The EP had been deleted and, I'd imagine much to the chagrin of collectors was reissued and sold on the merchandise table during the last European tour which is where I got my copy when a dutch friend kindly bought me one and sent it over, it had been going for $100+ on eBay. I think there is also a Christmas E.P. which I've got on MP3, not bad either. There are also a s**tload of demos doing the rounds on the web as well, and thats where it starts to get confusing as I believe that prior to this current incarnation Win Butler had been in 6 other bands called "Arcade Fire" and lots of members of those old bands have since posted their old demos. I'd be willing to b&p a copy for people, I've got a lot of their stuff.

"Chase The Devil" - Max Romeo, thats the latest edition to my iPod, great great tune, love reggae songs like that, upbeat and bouncy Also got "The 13th Floor Elevators" not bad, and the last two albums from M83 both very very good, kinda prefer the new one, posted a review for it so might be up soon

I'd take you up on that Arcade Fire demos offer Unicorn, whatever stuff you reckon is worth burning. And yes, the Secret Machines album is class, first came across them supporting Interpol in Glasgow and bought the album based on that performance. Nowhere Again is sooooo groovy

Ah perhaps I wasn't clear, when I said I've got a lot of their stuff I meant that I've got radio sessions and bootlegs in addition to the EP, I don't have the demos, if you're still interested let me know. Unfortunately the bootlegs have been encoded to MP3 which I know is a no-no amongst the trading community but it's how I got them. Anyway, just hit the "send email to user" button and let me know.

An actual turntable? Did you get both the C'Mere 7''s? I've only been able to land the one with Paul Bank's mix of Narc and I'm very impressed by it, is the Kessler one any good?
