f**king brilliant gig. Only let down was the sax player was ill but you still got your moneys worth. The support band, the urges were very good as well.

Hate missing good gigs. Hopefully they will be back in 2005. A revisit to Oxegen would be great, on a bigger stage maybe. As long as they bring Abi with them and some new material.

Hasn't the penny droped with everyone about Oxygen by now ?? its s**t ! You would never in a million years see a performance as good as that by The Zutons @ The Ambassador t'other night or indeed any other group at Oxygen. Its a money making racket if there ever was one. Any music fan worth their salt would want to see their favourite band in a nice intimate venue like the Ambassador, sure it aint perfect but it sure beats the f**k out for standing in a field with a load of arsehole pissed up f**ks listening to a band sounding like there playing through the bell end of a trumpet such is the piss poor sound quality. And btw the Zutons did play new material at The Ambassador and it was ace. IMHO proper music fans should boycott the like of Oxygen. Glorified knacker drinking, at a price !

Oxegen is far from being 'glorified knacker drinking'. It was a really good festival last year with some great bands playing. The Zutons played a great set which had good sound and it wasn't in a field, they were on the Ticket Stage. Why exactly should music fans boycott Oxegen when it is giving more and more unsigned Irish acts a chance? Isn't that a good thing? Yes, it is better to catch a good band in an intimate venue but sometimes people can't make it (like I said earlier, I was sick for the gig) but boycotting Oxegen is a stupid idea.
