They're good but not sure if they are that good.

First album I heard was "Abandoned Shopping Trolley Hotline". I have heard no other. I really like it, its very Beta Band and throwaway. Ever find that these b-side albums are better than some official ones, because there is no effort to make a conscious flow of songs? So some of the self awareness disappears. I find that anyway.

Which was their first album. I loved Bring It On, and am still rather fond of Liquid Skin of a mellow yellow afternoon. They're damn good, but not quite great though.

listen to them lads they are one of the best bands on the planet at the moment. musicality, originality, diversity and passion. live thay are out of this world. 3 lead vocalists... ben can sing like no other. i am a music fan. i've been around for 26 years and there is no band thats captured me like these guys. no 70s throwback fads, no jumping on electronica bandwagons, these guys are f**kin great

Everyone has their own opinion so I think trying to 'convert' people to a band is futile. I think we are all aware that Gomez have some endearing attributes but no one likes something forced upon them.

yah its just that i reckon if more people went to gomez shows or bought their albums, we wouldnt be listening/reading/hearing/seeing so much s**te about fad bands like the strokes or even the killers to some extent. keane and franz ferdinand would also be shown up as a little substandard (who reckons keane are just another travis cept with pianos?) if anyone else was at that ambassador show they'll know exactly what i'm talkin about. this band has everything

I'm no big fan of Gomez, but Mickod has my admiration for championing their cause. I myself have been on a similar crusade on behalf of the God like genius that is AIMEE MANN for years. It seems to be working.
