But it can't be. According to the band themselves, the new album is up with there 'with the classic albums of The Who and Oasis'. So, the lead track 'Empire' MUST be a classic also. What are you on about, Una? It's brilliant, the best song ever released ever because Kasabian said so.So there. And they would know best because they wrote it. Hold on, just had a listen. You're right, it's awful

It's real Springsteeny. At least some of the vocal inflections Brandan Flowers uses on it are.

This is wrecking my head - the riff in the chorus of the Killers song is a rip off of something recent and I can't figure out what. Maybe it's a rip off of one of their own riffs on the first album... Anyone else hearing what I'm hearing?

Urgh, I wish I hadn't listened to that. That riff thing sounds like Feeder or something equally awful.

Hi everyone. Yeah, Kasabian's new track is awful, but I have faith because LSF was awful too, so they're allowed one bad single per album for me. Although I am wearing a very Tom Meighan jacket at the moment.

Reminds me of u2's 'Miracle Drug' for some reason. In fact, the guitar solo is very similar. Excellent song, if truth be told.

Ya it's pretty brutal alright...suits the brutal video. On a completely unrelated topic: Boy Kill Boy seem pretty darn good. Anyone hear the album yet?

Yeah, Civillian is really good. It's like a more exciting, but less eccentric Franz Ferdinand. The singles are great, but there are some cracking album tracks too. Sickener that I missed them at Oxegen, but my legs were dead by that point on Saturday.
