The Skatalites - Legendary Jamaican Ska band, going since the 50s, probably best known for "Guns of Navarone" and their cover of the James bond Theme as featured many a Trojan compilation Metro Area - NY disco punk, if you like DFA type stuff. "Orange Alert" is probably their most high profile track, and its brill Modeselektor - One of many fantastic artists on the Berlin based electro/techno label; bpitchcontrol. http://bpitchcontrol.de/artist/2/54 No idea about the rest, to hell with being "in the know" anyway, I know what I like, if someone turns me onto something I like, all the better, but this "keeping up" lark isn't worth the effort. Not so much "lost my edge" as "gone completely fuzzy"

Francois K is a super cool dj that has played at studio 54 and paradise garage way back when. A lot of people are very excited about his appearance. Tiesfwar are ok, double dj act, but they've played here a few times this year so wouldn't be too pushed on seeing them. Fish go Deep are dj duo from cork, or at least became well known in Sir Henry's for their set. Bodytonic and sterotonic run nights in Rogue. really good promoters. SFA bingo, no idea but super furry animals perhaps?

Didn't SFA do this in Whelan's once. They had a load of their songs numbered on a board and they brought a bingo machine. Anyhoo whatever bingo number came out, they'd play the song next to the corresponding number on the board. I think I just went a very round-about way of explaining something simple. You get the idea though.

Yep and it was a great gig too, I'll hopefully be catching this acoustic set and their full set at EP. Don't really know or am not really interested in much else on that list but don't miss Tilly & The Wall either, they're gonna be great live.

F*ck there's a lot of clashes. The Long Blondes & Hot Chip, Saul Williams & The Rapture, Modeselektor & Cut Chemist, Broken Social Scene & Minotaur Shock, PJ Harvey & Anthony and The Johnsons. F*ck! F*ck! F*ck! And the Foggy Notions stage isn't even open on Friday!
