for my mind these are two amazing (and irish unlike some) songs that stand well above some of the pish on the album...i mean -SOMETHING HAPPENS- give me strength...

Hi all,
a passionate REM fan here delighted that they're coming back to play in Ireland again in July. Anyone going Last year when Reveal was released, a couple of us tried to arrange a launch party for REM fans but we had to leave it go due to an apparent lack of interest. With a gig coming up in the summer, maybe more would be interested.
So we're looking to get people interested early. Any thoughts

the line-up:

I think it's a really strange line-up, peculiar choice,,and they have the best band on first in my opinion...it all seems a bit stale to me really, there's nothing new about it, it's certainly not helping new talent, by any means..

he there sports fans ust thought id let ye know of a couple of lovely little gigs happening in cork over the next week or so. As im sure ye all know by the massive buldboard campaign which has been in place for several months now next week is live music week in ucc with free gigs a plenty. Hi.Rise return to the studio this Christmas to record a follow-up
single to ‘One Man’s Poison’, the summer single of the year that earned them a prime slot at this year’s Witnness Festival, courtesy of Today FM’s Pet Sounds Show. The new single ‘Long Distance Runner’ is the band’s third release and will be produced by Decal’s very own Alan O’Boyle. I think the crayonZ 'Bringing the Conversation Down' is superb
along with 'the Dillon Family Dancers' by the Redneck Manifesto (but I don't know if they released that)
there are lots more but I'm a bit hungover this morning,,,
