Was just inspired by Jules on another thread for this one:
Since the surge in track downloading and i-tunes, etc, do you feel (as I do) that something of the sanctity of the album as a work of art as a whole has been breached
By that, I mean, be it a concept album or not, there is a certain feel and a certain something a band is trying to convey through the album as a whole, not just it's individual songs. So therefore, track 7 is track 7 for a reason, and perhaps they shouldn't be mixed ...

The Frames have been nominated in two categories for the Meteor Ireland Music Awards - Best Irish Album and Best Irish Band.
Other nominees across the categories include Snow Patrol, Paddy Casey, Brian McFadden, Kylie Minogue and Franz Ferdinand.
The star-studded event, which is now in its fifth year, will be hosted by Irish comedian Ed Byrne and televised by RTE.

I bought the Futureheads album a while back and gave it a couple of listens. I bought it on recommendation from a magazine and to be honest, i tried hard to listen to it but i just couldnt get into it.
Then i started listening to the best of the cure a lot. Now the futureheads album has rally began to grow on me, so much so that im recommending it to mates. But i was full sure it was going to be a dust gatherer.
Had a similar experience with the streets first album. In this case i partiall...

it looks lovely but is very low in irish content
tried searching for loads of irish acts and theyre not there. No Paddy Casey (maybe a good thing but stilll), declan o'rouke or mundy. only 1 frames album. 1 josh ritter album. no republic of loose
now i know u can get downloads from other places but itunes is the big draw and the one which will bring in the punters. its ridiculous that it doesnt have these acts ready to go and pushing them right from the start. very, very sloppy.

I just bought their album.
Besides all the class blues musicians in Dublin i think this band are the best going.
Musically i really think their ace. Pyro (if he is the singer) has a class voice, im not too keen on some of the lyrics, donesnt mean thery arent good. Maybe i'll get used to them.
I really like their approach and the bass players beard.
