from hotpress.com Edel Coffey is a new addition to the team as Phantom FM return to the Dublin airwaves on October 31. The eagerly aniticipated line-up was announced at the Odessa Club in Dublin just minutes ago. Edel, the Irish Independent journalist and Medea guitarist, will be presenting the weekday 10am to noon slot, Access All Areas, which will feature a hefty dollop of Irish and international music news. Identifying on air as Phantom 105.2, the station has retained the services of most of the key personnel from their pirate days with Pete Vamos (Pure Morning, 7 to 10am); Neil Austin (Out To Lunch, noon to 2pm); Simon Maher (Phantom Daily, 2pm to 5pm); and Jack Hyland (Heavy Traffic, 5pm to 8pm) completing the primetime weekday line-up. The station then switches into specialist mode with Metal Notes (Monday), the 100% Irish Icon (Tuesday), goth ‘n’ industrial flavoured Spiral Stairs (Wednesday), The Producers (Thursday) and raaawk-oriented Powerhouse (Friday) running from 8pm to 10pm. Following John Cadell’s 10pm to 1am Bedrock show, Phantom 105.2 goes automated, although it’s hoped to eventually introduce live jocks. The weekend line-up is still not set in stone, but will include Album Archive, Cinemascope, The Anorak Hour, The Two Petes, The Download Chart and Carriag Crua, which is the Irish for 'hard rock'! As always, Phantom 105.2 is eager to receive music from signed and unsigned acts alike at 73 North Wall Quay, Dublin 1.

At last... best of luck Phantom, hopefully they'll be able to sate some of the radio needs of us Dublin indie types.
