God Is An Astronaut upstaged Whipping Boy in the Olympia last December. I once saw the Thrills support Lowgold in Whelans and they were absolutely amazing. Conor Deasy spoke like an Irish lad too which always helps.

seeing as the russian futurists were mentioned above, jape completely outshone them recently at whelans... and i love the RF albums... might have had something to do with them being a member down but i suspect not

Wasn't at that show but there were some extenuating circumstances for RF's s**tness. That missing band member actually had to be taken to hospital about a half hour before the show with breathing trouble. Wasn't anything too serious thankfully, but probably a bit scary for all involved.

no way, Maximo Park are one of the best live indie bands around.
they arent that good Una. i seen them at oxegen and they made a balls up of apply some pressure (i was sure they did but i was hammered so maybe......) also im not mad on this kinda chopping hand action u see the keyboard player doing. the lead singer is just a bit too active for my liking aswell, like he is trying hard and conciously to rock out instead of just being a physical representation of the music they are playing and letting it flow outta him....i mite be wrong....
