That line obviously indicated Radiohead will be cheering for the Dubs on Sunday.

Maybe the thought of Thoms dead body floating down the Liffey excites some people!

Anyone think that Thom's kit on Bangers and Mash was inspired by the fella from Deerhoof (who really needs to buy a new kit, cymbols at least)

You shoulda been at Bob Dylan in Kilkenny then, I thought the crowd last night were great (at least where I was) compared to other recent gigs.

Same with me, but I was in the pit so it was full of hardcore enthusiasts.

New Member - seen Radiohead a few months ago in Boston and found that the setlist hadn't really changed from when they were touring in 03 bar (bar the new stuff obviously). Couldn't make last night as out of the country the last few years, but good to see that they are varying things again, to finish with Creep is amazing and gives a good indication where Yorke and the band are at at the moment, completely comfortable with the status they struggled so long to cope with. Definitely the most important band in living memory. Rant over

Really enjoyed all aspects of Beck's set.. Was just a tad disappointed in Radiohead though, I thought it sounded a bit sterile or something. They played far too many of their older The Bends and OK Comuter stuff and they may have well have just played the CDs for the amount of life that was in them to be honest. All in all though, pretty darn tootin' good.

Aaaargh there was one of those guys in front of me as well. He barely moved throughout the whole of Beck's said then suddenly went nuts when Thom Yorke came on stage. I seriously thought he was going to start crying and praying to him as some sort of divine presence... I wonder was it the same guy?

I was expecting them to play i alright as theyd finished the previous 4 dates with it but still a bit disapointed nonetheless. Not because its Creep or anything but because I would have preferred 'I might be wrong' or numerous other songs. Im not so sure if they were completely 'comfortable' with it as much as its a regrudging acceptance of the song as a fans fave though at this stage. The lines 'whatever makes you happy, whatever you want' made me laugh though. maybe thats just me...

Well, the guys beside me decided to mosh to Paranoid Android - this was after they'd been trying to stroke my mate's face, taken speed, and proceeded to puke in front of us. That and two other guys just peed in place without even trying to cover it up. Nice. We kept moving away, but they seemed to keep following us. Hmm. Not a good sign that... :) A lot of fans alright who seemed to want to be spiritualised by the whole thing. But the gig wasn't like that - it was very straightforward and to the word from the albums - very little, if any, playing around with any of the songs. Good crowd pleasers, but just seemed a little tired and lack lustre. Beck, was great, as I said in other post, but I noticed is suddenly to me looking old. Or is it me that's looking old and seeing myself reflected. Hm. ais.

Deerhoof - It didnt grab me at all to be honest. I felt it was in a sense too thought through forumlaic but alot of people enjoyed and I dont listen to much this type of rock anymore so maybe I have lost touch with it but it wasnt that great. Beck - Great show interesting and compelling Radiohead - the friends I went with are rock heads they wanted to hears the bends etc etc what they got was a sonic treat I loved it for what it was. I agree their was very little interaction but I am not a huge fan so I wasnt looking for recognition. I did think the few comments that were made by Mr Yorke to be a little something hmmmm. I dont know I am not able to put my finger on it but when he said "god forgive you" it just set me thinking what was that in relation to? Enjoyed the evening but for me Daft Punk was it.

how can anyone describe deerhoof as silly? they write some of the most wonderful, beautiful music... wasn't there though so can't be sure that the loss of the extra guitarist worked... go and buy reveille or apple o

I do have to say it annoys me that a band I like so much can draw so many idiots, guy beside me keep holding his head in both his hands and then lifting one or both hands into the air as if he was witnessing some sort of divine moment, he was like this right from the moment airbag started and anytime I looked over he was doing the same thing. I think he had decided weeks ago that this was going to be the most magical and spiritual moment of his life, although thinking about it he may just have been pilled off his face but I'm going to stick to my original conclusion. I really don't see the need to cheer the line "I float down the Liffey", I don't understand the mentality of the cheerers at all. There's no need to be so cynical.(dont know if thats the rite spelling) i thought the gig was great and think ur silly for puttin sumone down coz they enjoyed it. would u rather they were looking at their feet and swaying side to side taking a drag of a fag every 3 seconds (a la south park)???? and the reason people cheered when he said float down the liffey was because everyone (with some exceptions....feet-watchers and such) just wanted some reason to cheers more to the band. I thought that was quite obvious
