Although, the night I was there, some "hilarious" fella kept saying "Do summer of '69 Bryan" etc. a.
There's a lot of truth in that comment about (B)Ryan Adams

Shame, it's pretty nuts. I'm on dialup at the minute but I'll try and stick it up on Megaupload on Friday if I have the time. Other classic bits of Adams vs. the media is the first interview he did with Pitchfork which he inssisted on doing with them when they gave on of his albums (I think it was Rock n' Roll) a poor score.

For me Adams is far more quantity than quality.1 in every 4 songs is pretty good yet the rest are very average. It's as if he decides which songwriter he's going to ape on any given day.Today I'm gonna write like Neil Young, tomorrow I'm gonna be Steve Earle. He doesn't do himself any favours. Oh yeah and Firecracker is a lame re-write of Absolutely sweet marie & answering bell is a lame same of the Weight. Miaow!!

http://www.pastemagazine.com/action/article?article_id=3160 Review of gig Ryan did in July in Atlanta. Sounds good. Think gig in Dublin might be sold out already, glad I got my tickets first thing this morning. I'm very excited, really love his stuff.
