Ironing?? Nah, do what I do and bring the washing home to Mammy every weekend, hells yeah...

Radio is dead to me though, not the same since Uaneen (sp?) died. I wanted to marry her when I was 17...

Tom Dunne is alright..

D'acry represents a proportion of idiots in this country whose biggest worry is whether Surf do actually give you your money back ... he is appalling and plays nothing but f*ckin Mundy and sh*tes on about absolutely nothing. His views on the world could easily be confused with that of a teenager with a bad sense of humour. Today FM run with this formula of "the presenter is the show"..therefore almost every show is based around the personal views of the presenter...

I too spent three years in an office that ran like this.. Dempsey followed by D'arcy, followed by the "tits"..fenton and cawley..followed by Cooper....plus the dude who does the sport is not funny. Someone should let it him know this.

Three years?!! I'm surprised you didn't need therapy. Matt Cooper used to be half decent till he extended the show by an hour & started including 'light entertainment' pieces in with the current affairs. If I wanted that, I'd watch Sky News.

I'd listen to Home & Hosed on Triple J online when I get the chance, but not the same since Robbie Buck moved to primetime. I'd do Robbie Buck I would.

He know alot about music and has good taste but still I'm not a Robbie Buck fan. I also thought I'd never miss him but, since he's been gone there's feck all music on that show anymore. What's even worse is that I find Scott Dooley even more irritating than Mr Buck. Apologies for the Australian music related rant on an Irish music forum

El Duderino - I'm not a Dools fan either, bloody eejit, also can't stand Jay & The Doctaaa. Robbie Buck has gone mainstream as he's daytime, but when he was on Home & Hosed it was all just about decent interviews and good music. I'd highly recommend you download the JTV Vodcast with The Drones playing 'Never Gonna Change' on Robbie's show: http://www.abc.net.au/jtv/txt/2007/1890819.htm A few minutes of brilliance.

I used to be a devout listener to Gideon Coe on bbc 6music until that twat George Lamb took over his slot and ruined it.
Since then I sort of stopped listening to morning radio.
I completely agree with Parton's views on Dempsey and Darcy. The latter being so caught up in his own life that his show revolves around it. I. DO. NOT. CARE. WHAT. YOUR. DAUGHTER. DID. LAST. NIGHT. OR. THAT. YOU. GOT. INTO. A. FIGHT. WITH. A. MOTORIST.
Also, his listenership is made up of sycophants who spend €20 a week on texting the show with mindless and lazy requests and comments that are so awfully bad that it can only be for the cheap thrill of hearing their names mentioned on the radio.
There must be more to radio than this.

Ha ha - very true!! As for George Lamb... he might be idiotic, but he cracks me up, though I can see a time when it's gonna wear thin.. there's only so many "Shabbas" & "tramps" you can give out & only so many things that can be laminated!

Unless they're spinning the old Jamelia hit, that'd be Lupe Fiasco. I quite like it.
