Hi guys, as you can see I'm a new member to this community. So far I can say im really impressed with the layout and the content but to be fair there is an awful lack of content here. I'm just wondering have half of the members given up on this completely? I'm not here to complain about things, I just think that things could improve alot here. I'm willing to submit content whenever I can, which would probably be a gig review of an album review. Is there any way we can increase the membership to get some serious activity going again? Any ideas? Praise/Criticism would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Éanna,

First of all welcome on board CLUAS and thanks for the constructive and truthful feedback. Yes, I am fully aware of the site's potential and how it is - for now - coming up a bit short. There are a multitude of reasons for this, most of them in my control, but some of them outside my control.

I reassure you that members have not given up on the site. Over the last 3 months about 10 different writers have had content published on the site and 2 new writers have come on board. But we can do better! There is stuff in the pipeline which will change things around here. But in the meantime thanks for your offer to submit some content. I'd be delighted to have you join the crew. (I just sent you a private message with some ideas on what you could contribute).

Looking forward to your first contribution. And keep the ideas coming on how to improve the site.

    Best.

That Paris blogger, whatever happened to him? Some say he went native - wandered off into a boulangerie and never came back.

Perhaps the CLUAS gaffer will have to take a gunboat up the Seine and into the heart of darkness that is French pop.

Keep anything going where you're relying on volunteers is tricky. I've started writing for Drop-d.ie recently and that was only after lots of real life nagging from staff memebers who are friends of mine. Ireland really needs more outlets for music journalism.
