What do Cluas Musos think of The Walls review? I think Donal Griffin is spot on. The Walls pack a punch live, hopefully they can follow that with a commercial killer punch, to rocket them to the mainstream ring. Aye, they've been around the block a few times alright, but theres still life in them there boys!

But isn't it a bit masturbatory for Cluas to publish a review of a gig? they organised, they are hardly gonna say it was shit if it was. http://www.kaboommusic.cjb.net

I have to say I thought it was very accurate and objective, and not a sniff of having any agenda!

I thought The Walls gig was terrific and I also thought the review was fair. If anything I thought the band's set could have been a bit shorter. They do give value for money though and the tune that's featured on the AIB ad has a great future. Bzzzzz The Wasp

I'm not saying the review wasn't acurate i am however saying that I don't think the gig should have been reviewed on cluas.com because they organized it. I mean would you take a review of an MCD gig written by MCD seriously? I don't think so http://www.kaboommusic.cjb.net

Fair enough, but I dinna think that the review was in any way commissioned. I don't remember seeing the reviewer's name on anything else on the site? so I'm quite sure it was written of his own accord. Ain't that what the site has always said...if it's topical, relevant, objective and well written it will be published! Ya kinna mess with the beauty!

Enjoyed a memorable night - the gig was very well organised and THE WALLS were top class. The set had a great mix of new songs, covers, a few Stunning numbers with a backbone from the Hi-Lo album. Midway through the set they showcased some new material like 'To the bright and shining Sun' (AIB ad) and Hi-Wire. Hi-Lo is a superb album. Judging by the new material, the next one will be even better.

I am being biased saying I love seeing the Walls live, as I know the guys....but I didn't know them the first time I saw them in Tralee and I thought they were superb...as did the rest of the crowd! I hope we hear more material from them in Y2002...Happy new year
