please tell me some else saw them play on saturday??? heard there song on mtv2 "lottery winners on acid"..thought yeah good song, so went to check them out in the new bands stage at 5 on that really cold wet saturday, so standing there waiting for them to come on, shaking like a sh*ting dog!..so anyway the band comes out on stage start playing away..then a roadie comes on stage and passes the microphone and stand out into the crowd where the lead singer was standing in the middle on the crowd!!.. and started singing the opening song!!..which was a great song!, he captivated the crowd singin like nick cave or something ...the crowd just stood around him in a trance when watching him!..no one dared to grab the mic or do something silly!!....after the song he went back on stage where they went through a set of about 8 songs which included a great cover version of fleetwood macs "i wanna be with you everywhere"..or something like that not sure of the name of it.. deadly band one of the highlights of the wkend...defo gonna be getting the slbum today!...so everybody if ya see that there gonna be playing the village or whealans go check'em out...you wont be dissapointed!!!

Hi there - if your recorded quality is any good can you get a copy to Christopher on The Crimea unofficial web site at www.inaudible.co.uk ? For anybody out there who hasn't heard The Crimea - you've missed out! They are absolutely fantastic live - lead singer Davey McManus (brother of R1 DJ Annie Mac) is an absolute superstar with more stage presence than the whole of The Kooks/Arctic Monkeys/Snow Patrol/Muse... whatever... put together. The songs and (especially) the lyrics are fantastic. Buy the album "Tragedy Rocks" - you'll love it. Seriously, this band are good and it won't be long till they're headlining.

I have to say, 'Tragedy Rocks', in my opinion is a dreadful, overblown cliche of a record. But hey, whatever starts you up...

I absolutely can't agree - but hey - we can't all like the same thing! It has received rave reviews from most critics (which itself doesn't say much) - but I love it anyway! You really have to catch them live though - seriously.

The Crocketts were a really really great band, so I strongly recommend you check them out if you like The Crimea's stuff. 'The Great Brain Robbery' is a super album, and quite funny at that. xm
