Anyone heard any of them and what do you think? Ive heard a good few now from ateaseweb.com and other sites and the songs are shaping up pretty nicely. Favourite at the moment is Bodysnatchers. Roll on Marley Park!

i heard a few at the big ask a couple of weeks ago, but given that was just thom and jonny there's no real telling how they'll translate to full band arrangements! bodysnatchers is a great track - rather funky! arpeggi (in their twosome arrangement) was like pyramid song meets no surprises - beautiful! heading to the hammersmith apollo show on thursday so hopefully will hear a few more then!

i presume you've heard of this kavo message from Thom Yorke: this is just a note to say that something has been kicking around in the background that i have not told you about. its called The Eraser. nigel produced & arranged it . i wrote and played it. the elements have been kicking round now for a few years and needed to be finished & i have been itching to do something like this for ages. it was fun and quick to do. inevitably it is more beats & electronics. but its songs. stanley did the cover. yes its a record! no its not a radiohead record. as you know the band are now touring and writing new stuff and getting to a good space so i want no crap about me being a traitor or whatever splitting up blah blah... this was all done with their blessing. and i don't wanna hear that word solo. doesnt sound right. ok then thats that. i think its out in july and im pretty certain XL are going to put it out. love thom

Hey Jan, assuming that you're who I think you are (I'm thinking we have a mutual aqquantance with the initials RL that's doing a PhD) I might see you on Thursday. I can't wait for it.

Perhaps I'm wrong, I thought you were another Jan I've met a couple of times who was doing a graphics post-grad in Trinity.

I did, you too? Of the new material the ones that grabbed me most were Arpeggi, Bodysnatchers and Bangers And Mash; was very happy with the full band version of nude, wonderful vocals but I kinda miss the big finish it used to have. I think Thom had a bit of a strop at the end of the first encore on Thursday.

yeah i loved it - bangers & mash, bodysnatchers and 15 step were all new tracks that stood out for me and embodied my favourite radiohead sound! i was also thrilled that they played let down, even if it was missing the second verse, they never (well very rarely) play it so that was a definite highlight for me! as for thom's strop, not many front men can deliver an ascerbic 'shut it you c**t' to a bawdy fan without dropping a note or beat of the track their playing at the time

i had a dream last night that Johnny Greenwood was giving out to me in a childrens library where he was giving me a 'talk' with some young one on music production. He was really pissed off... that made me rather sad.

Has anyone noticed that Jonny Greenwood has not aged a day in the last 13 years.

I haven't heard it yet, I'm going up to a friends flat tonight and I might hear it then as he's got it downloaded. Some good reports, some bad. Some are saying that it sounds a bit like Amnesiac.

Heard 2 songs from The Eraser last night. Enjoyed both of them. Fairly minimalistic but lot's of Yorke's voice which is a good thing.
