ok - Your favourite indie band have asked you to play 5 songs to warm up the crowd before their big dublin show. what do you play? (you can be as willfully obscure as you like - as long as the crowd can react without knowing the songs!) 1 love will tear us apart - Joy division 2 stone roses - i am the resurection 3 bow wow wow - c30 c60 c90 4 i bet that you look good on the dancefloor - Arctic monkeys 5 radiohead - idiotheque crowd ->

Nice choice Right, warm up to an Indie gig (or for the benefit of Google: indie indie, indie britney spears, indie, mp3, indie gig), probably clear the floor but... 1. 4th of July - Galaxie 500 (doesn't get any indier) 2. 16 Tons - Bo Diddley 3. Solex All Licketysplit - Solex 4. Kiss and Make Up - Saint Etienne 5. Kids Rock - Loo and Placido (Queen "we will rock you" reggae with kids vocals mashup thingy) indie schmindie, I think I've hit the google motherlode!

WITHOUT knowing the songs? Surely, that makes your own selections redundant? Or am I just being dumb?

And, without being too obscure 1: The National - Looking for Astronauts 2: Ladytron : Destroy Everything You Touch 3: Modest Mouse - Float On 4 :Pulp - Babies 5: Belle and Sebastian - Legal Man If the band are slight left of field, I might try these.. 1 The Cure - Plainsong 2 Shocking Blue - Send Me a PostCard 3 Wolf Parade - This Hearts On Fire 4 Yoko Ono - Walking on Thin Ice 5 Rollerskate Skinny - Speed to my Side

Yeah completely agree with it being a great song... but can't see myself losing it on the dancefloor... Few of mine have already been mentioned so I'm not arsed thinking. Float On would of been in there, bit of Arcade Fire, Rollerskate Skinny too... ah feck it, go on so... So Says I - The Shins Twisterella - Ride Love is the Drug - Roxy Music Hey Now Now - The Cloud Room Too Young(Zoot Woman Remix) - Phoenix But if you're allowed Bright Eyes, I'm allowed Light Years by Brian
