Anybody see this last night? I had the pleasure of seeing a group called Alloy Mental. It's dance-rock the likes of which Ulster has never seen! Hilarious. They had this "intense" frontman shouting woeful lyrics against a dated industrial/electronic/rock (excuse my genre-lisation) backdrop. "Time will be killed!" You heard it here first.

I thought ROSS were good. Your man looks a bit mad in the head (when he took his balaclava off).

I dunno, I quite liked the song, lyrically. The music though, was godawful stuff that Pirate Stations played circa 1994

Yep, a whole program of The Thrills *shudder*. Still, you've got to admire the fact that a local (very local, I hadn't heard of any of the acts) goes out at 9pm. Hello RTE, TV3, anyone listening?

well said that Spleen I've caught ATL by accident over the last few weeks and, while the music is not my bag (esp the Thrills), the fact is its on at PRIME-TIME and not 11.30pm or afterwards. The reason why so few people watch Other Voices or The Last Broadcast is not just because they're usually s**te but the times they go out. it will be interesting to see which school Channel 6 decide to join. They're promising a left-of-centre music show and a commercial pop one.

One of the worst selection of bands I have ever seen on one TV programme. Red Organ Serpent Sound: what the f**k was that??? Profoundly depressing.

I remember seeing Red Organ in Doran's a couple of years ago. The singer had a single boxing glove on, and was punching the air while he sang. I seem to remember the keyboardist had a fighterpilots helmet on. I profoundly enjoyed it. Dancing all over the place I was. But I was profoundly drunk too. Dunno what I'd make of em if I heard them today. Also: my lack of tv means i have no idea what this thread is about.

well you can be quite assured that not much has changed in the ROSS camp then - boxing glove and fighterpilot helmet were all firmly in place..........

Yous should arrange cds on a rack on stage; first by alphabet, then by year of release. Everyone'd be moshing and s**t.

Well I was assuming I wouldn't need to teach the alphabet, or the way our calander is based on the years since the birth of our lord Jesus Christ. Once you know that: Choreography finished. Knock em' dead. BLAM!
