Yep, tickets for Electric Picnic 06 are on sale. And the news most of you were hoping for comes with it - it's a 3 day festival this year. 175 euro isn't a bad price at all. Wonder if the campsite will be bigger next time around, considering it will host an extra day. It all kicks off on Friday September 1st-3rd. Would it be too early to start a wishlist or speculation of headliners/acts?

it'll still be 25,000 tickets but with a larger portion devoted to camping which is a good thing, there's also talk of more showers, bins(definately needed, I couldnt find one single bin around where we were camped, we tried to keep it in plastic bags but by the end there was just crap overflowing eveywhere)and just general improvements around the campsite.

One of the best things about Electric Picnic is that the line-up doesn't consist of new artists flogging off their latest albums. But that a band like the Flaming Lips can headline, even though they hadn't got much new material ready. So who else could be next? I'd vote for: Drive-By Truckers, Z-Trip, Death Cab For Cutie, Iron & Wine, Mountain Goats, Ryan Adams, The Pharcyde

Have to say that I thikn the Yeah Yeah Yeah's album could be a real dark horse for album of 2006. Might make my first ever trip to ATP in April for the weekend that they're curating one of the days.
