If i remember correctly mine was Bananarama's self titled album which they released in 1984. My fav songs were Cruel Summer and Robert DeNiro's Waiting, although at that stage i wouldn't have had a clue who Robert de Niro was... Robert de Niro's waiting talking italian. Robert de Niro's waiting talking italian. I don't need a boy I've a got a man of steel....

Star Trekkin' across the universe, Boldly going forward 'cause we can't find reverse. Lt. Uhura, report. There's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow; there's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, Jim. Analysis, Mr. Spock. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it; it's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, Captain. There's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow; there's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, Jim. Star Trekkin' across the universe, On the Starship Enterprise under Captain Kirk. Star Trekkin' across the universe, Boldly going forward, still can't find reverse. Medical update, Dr. McCoy. It's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead, Jim; it's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead. Starship Captain, James T. Kirk: Ah! We come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, shoot to kill; we come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, men. It's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead, Jim; it's worse than that, he's dead, Jim, dead, Jim, dead. Well, it's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it; it's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, Captain. There's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow; there's Klingons on the starboard bow, scrape 'em off, Jim. Star Trekkin' across the universe, On the Starship Enterprise under Captain Kirk. Star Trekkin' across the universe, Boldly going forward, and things are getting worse! Engine Room, Mr. Scott: Ye cannot change the laws of physics, laws of physics, laws of physics; ye cannot change the laws of physics, laws of physics, Jim. Ah! We come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, shoot to kill; we come in peace, shoot to kill; Scotty, beam me up! There's Klingons on the starboard bow, starboard bow, starboard bow; there's Klingons on the starboard bow, starbord bow ahhhh!! Ye cannot change the script Jim. Och, #!*& Jimmy. It's worse than that, it's physics, Jim. Bridge to engine room, warp factor 9. Och, if I give it any more she'll blow, Cap'n! Star Trekkin' across the universe, On the Starship Enterprise under Captain Kirk. Star Trekkin' across the universe, Boldly going forward 'cause we can't find reverse. Star Trekkin' across the universe, On the Starship Enterprise under Captain Kirk. Star Trekkin' across the universe, Boldly going forward, still can't find reverse.

Even though I'm 29, it was 'Human Behaviour' by Bjork!!.. I quickly followed that with ' Rattle and Hum ' by U2 and was 'disapointed' that the ' Thumb a lift there Edge ' bit wasn't on it...

Incredibly, Bananarama had some street cred back in the day having back Terry Hall (still cool as f*%k to this day) of Specials fame in Fun boy Three. I think one of the first albums I bought was somethin by Abba or some class of compilation. I do remember the album that changed my view of music forever which was Soul Mining by The The.

Jaysus I feel ancient all you lot buying your 1st records in the 90's. The 1st single I bought was Madness "It Must Be Love" or "Baggy Trousers" I can't remember. Its so long ago. Can't remember the very 1st album I bought either, I was a 7 inch merchant back in the day. Banarama were the soundtrack to a very happy summer for me when I was bout 11, loved 'em

Wanna hear my BB King joke? (I'll ignore the chorus' of 'Noooooo' and make it nice 'n short!) BB is going away for a while so his wife decides to do something nice for him while he's away, so she decides to get a tatoo on her arse.. So BB returns home and she goes, 'Hey BB, check this out' and pulls down her jocks.. BB: 'Who the f*ck is Bob'!!!
