Anyone else think the sound was sh*te? Stood in different places near enough to the sound desk for KOL and Pixies and for both the sound was awful. Vocals were so muffled could barely make them out over the music. Overall level was so low that people were able to chat away as normal, no shouting over the music needed!!Pretty much ruined the gig for me. Looked like they were putting on a good show on the stage but didn't hear it unfortunately.

I was close to the barrier behind the pit and thought the sound was grand. I was further back for KOL and the sound was being blown about the place all right. As for sitting, why did you sit? There was lots of room in standing and I got in there no problem with a (mistakenly bought) seated ticket. Just wondering...

the sound was shocking If you have a gig in a venue you should be able to hear the gig from any place in the venue. Did it take professional soundguys to get it sounding so bad.

yeah i thought the soundwas pretty s**t. We headed to palace after...were avoiding whelans after we heard a rumour kings were playing there, knew it'd be packed so headed next door. Was nice though, none of this we're famous bulls**t, just a couple of guys playing pool, noone even took any notice of them.

Fantastic gig, KOL and Pixies were great live. Was in the mosh pit for them and the sound was spot on, not a bother. Really impressed with humanzi who seem to be a decent irish band and a welcome change to the dreary singer song writers that seem to pollute irish venues these days. For the pixies stood at the back of the pit with plenty of space, uninterrupted views and great sound. Was back to whelans with in 10mins of the gig . Silly rumours of KOL & Pixies playing which resulted in the bar being jammed with nonces. Although did see the guitarist and drummer from the pixies leaving the band room much to the awe of the whelan’s hanger ons. Another point, how depressing was it to see thousands of people gleefully wearing budweiser sun visors and vodaphone neck ties. One of the most branded concerts I’ve been to.

sound was absolutely poxy in the stands anyway... think it was down to the wind though? kinding coming in and out with the gusts brought my 13 year old sis along and she loved it so totally worth while as an educational day out :D

Stood at the back in the stands for teenage fan club and the sounds was terrible but wasn't surprised. Part of the reason why I got down just after 4pm to get a mosh pit band. Got down to the gate, no queue, no searches and walked straight up to the mosh pit and got myself a wrist band. and best of all brought in a couple bottles of heineken

Yeah, saw that in Marlay Park before, The vodafone neckthings. Couldnt figure what they were (Timetables for the stage, didnt make sense). Picked one up of the ground, to see it was an ad on both sides ... As you said, Thousands gleefully wearing them ! People will take anything if its free ...
