In the last week ive bought Joe Chesters new album and Damien Dempseys new album and i have to say that in my opinion, the quality of both is just execellent. I was always a big fan of TSR, but that aside, joes album is just so good to listen to that ive to stop myself from playing it ( dont want to burn it out ). Some really catchy pop songs. I hope one of the Cluas reviewers have it on their list (im not the reviewing type myself). Damos album came out friday, on first listen i was worried about the production of it, but now after a good few listends its stuck in my head. Patience is a great song and could be a real radio friendly release. Has anyone else picked these up. What do ye think ?

Debut Crumb album isn't bad. Never heard their stuff but took a gamble on the album and is slowly growing on me. Getting Damo's new album this week, so curious as to what direction he has gone in.

Yeah, have been meaning to pick up the crumb album alright. Will put it on my list. Im off to see damo in vicar st on wednesday and then im making the trip to waterford on sat to catch him in Ten. Ive travelled to kilkenny 3 times to see him in Cleeres ( on one of said times the gig was cancelled as i was travelling down ), and i just really enjoy his gigs. even though some of his tracks have depressening lyrics, I still get a feel good vide out of them, probably because the power in which he gets his songs across. Looking forward to your review of damos album !

I never said I was reviewing that album. I won't be getting it until the end of the week so someone might review before then. But looking forward to it anyway. Saw him live twice and both times was very impressive.

shots is excellent, really enjoyable stuff. possibly an example of the kinds of standards that should be held for more Irish bands and artists. plus the artwork is great, bit of nostalgia never hurt anyone, had'nt seen a punt in ages!

I really liked "tadhg cookes" first ep when it came out. but ive gotten lazy since and i havent followed up on him. Since the album is out i must pick up my interest in him again. Yeah, from what ive heard the wallmark album is quality.

All good - wouldn't call 66e great though.
