This Saturday night I will be hosting an hour long session on 99.5 or http://alice.gcd.ie:81/ramgen/broadcast/live.rm to anyone on the net who has real player. It will be on from 9-10 and feature alot of varied music and music related chat. I just wanted to see what people would want to hear during the session....anything in particular I should discuss? Here's a few that might be on the shortlist: Tom Waits, Wallmark, Iron & Wine, Interpol, Johnny Cash, Sean Needham, The Zutons, Fried, Trashcan Sinatras, Bloc Party, Crosby & Nash, Rilo Kiley, Mic Christopher, Little Barrie, Kaiser Chiefs, Cathy Davey, Neville Brothers, Nick Cave, Patti Scialfa, Una Keane, Ray Charles, 66e, Steve Earle, Modest Mouse, Texas Galaxy, John Coltrane, The Subways, Whiskeytown..... All suggestions are welcome!!!!

Not to get too academic on it Gar but you could throw up a nice theme of 'God in music', across the genres, using Cash, Cave and Coltrane as examples (The Man Comes Around, Brompton Oratory, and a Love Supreme being the starters for ten)...

It's just a college thing on Griff FM. So it will just be on this Sat night, no Jools Holland on so you might aswell tune in!!! Thin Man, I'm not sure about the God In Music theme but I might try and work some theme in with the songs I play. I'll also be discussing upcoming gigs, acts to watch out for, Cluas & other Irish based music webzines/magazines aswell as whatever people text in. Cheers!!!

Well sorry to take up space on the board with this thread. Wasn't really settled during the session and I think it came across when I spoke. Anyway, here's the tracks that I did get to play: - Tom Waits 'Ice Cream Man' - Wallmark 'Melodies & Lines' - The Shins 'So Says I' - Polar 'Bite Your Nails' - Ray LaMontagne 'How Come' - Iron & Wine 'Jezebel' - Oasis 'D'yer Wanna Be A Spaceman?' - Bloc Party 'Helicopter' - Nero 'Smokescreen' - The Subways 'In Love' - Kill Bill Soundtrack 'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)' - Loudon Wainwright III 'Happy Birthday Elvis' - Jules Jackson 'Spent Rocker Blues' - Monty Python 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life'
