Got a lend of Metalica's DVD diary of making this record. Truly essential viewing! I never would have believed that guys with some much money and and so little to worry about in the world could descend into such self-absorbed analysis and psychobabble. It is almost Spinal Tap in places. I even started to feel sorry for Lars Ulrich in places (despite being an anti file sharing mouthpiece). Seriously, go treat yourselves.

Part of the Directors Chair Series in UCI Tallaght this Sun (4pm) & Tues (7pm). Coolock on Sun 06th Mar & Tues 08th Mar. Tickets are 2 for 1 also ! Very funny in places, but I felt Jason Newsted for very hard done by. The dvd has more of Lars meeting Dave Mustaine than the cinema release. Gonna rent it to see that. Great to see Lars squirm ! Although seeing Lars' father explains quite a bit ....

I've been feeling sorry for Metallica for a long time. They seem to be devoid of shame and will make money out of even their own personal breakdowns. It's tragic in the truest sense of the word. Stuff like that shouldnt be committed to film. And especially not for the mass public to consume. Sad.
