I'm trying to find out a bit more about a band I heard here in Cork called The Heard about a month or two ago who I thought were pretty good. It was during a free music festival weekend (murphys experience or something like that, can't remember the name of it, sorry) and they were supporting Stanley Super 800. I think they may be a local Cork band, I'm not sure, but probably not as I haven't seen them play anywhere since. Anyway, I thought they were pretty good, being ever so slightly reminiscent of Galaxie 500 and late 80s UK indie bands and was wondering if anyone knew anything more about them?

Cool, Thanks. If anyone from Sofa Records or The Heard is reading this and you would like to get the album reviewed for Cluas, please get in contact with myself or Eoghan about sending us a review copy and it will be reviewed for Cluas. (Simply look up my discussion board profile on the messageboard and there is an option to email me)

Ah, but will you write up a decent review? No such thing as a free lunch (well not strictly true, one company I used to work for used to be pretty generous, but you knw what I mean)

Well go on then, write us a review. Obviously we haven't got a review copy of The Heards' album yet, but you can always write a review of an album you've bought or gig you've been to recently and submit it here: http://www.cluas.com/forms/submit_an_article.htm
