If you could choose or offer some input, who would you ask to play a gig for cluas.com? Just throwing this out there. If Cluas where to book a venue for a night, who should headline, support and guest appear? Would it be a theme night? Any ideas how to make it different from any other gig? What charity should benefit from ticket sales? What venue should it be held in?

The Frames, Mundy, David Kitt, Paddy Casey, Have it in Whelans on a firday night. Followed by a guest DJ set by Ollie Cole chocked full of of Nirvana, Pixies and Weezer Classics. Top it off with some kind of underground award ceremony presented by Niall Stokes. Tongue firmly in cheek hehee Go for broke have an outdoor marquee gig with a bar .....get them heater yokes for the bar, ask for submissions from unsigned bands (So many good one at HWCH) , charity of choice would be SIMON Community (Very nice people) or SVP who help families comin up to christmas.

Venue: Doesn't really matter Charity: Christine Noble foundation. I remember her asking for donations of musical instruments before to give to children in Mongolia. Also they could spend money on alot of other stuff as well. Bands: Put the names in a hat for bands that are prepared to play,so organisers are not blamed for being biased in favour of their friends. The down side to this is you will want to make money on ticket sales so maybe you need a "big band" to pull a crowd so you have money to donate to charity.

IMO feck the begrudgers. if its for charity put the biggest crowd puller at the top of the bill. Whealans was excellent last year. However with the rotweiler tellin people they cant smoke in bars how easy is it to get the meeting square in temple bar, that was pretty cosy. Go for outdoor. PS i dont smoke

Definitely outdoor, but weather? It's not exactly dependable... How about an alcohol-free gig, so we u-18s who aren't obsessed with getting pi***d can come along? There are far too few of them around, in fact I've never heard of any.

Didn't Damien Rice host an under 18's gig in Whelan's not so long ago? And apparently there were alot of under age people at The Frames gig in the Mansion House on Halloween. Drink makes venues money, its as simple as that. But maybe promoters should try to accomadate the younger audience more.

If we're going for pure dream facotrs, the Gig would be called Unsung Heroes. Headline: Mexican Pets Guests: Kerbdog Support: or Klubbalang. It'd be in either Dorans or TBMC for the sheer closeness factor. And it'd be boss. YEAH!
