Yeah, just heard about. Sounds like a great line-up. Dave Geraghty from Bell X1, Berkley, Matt Lunson, Primed, Andalusia. I heard that one of the special guests will be Ollie from Turn. I think tickets go on sale this Monday. |

did anyone see the book that was brought out recently?its just a collection of his diaries drawings and private thoughts
to me this is just money grabbing and i dont think he wouldve wanted it published-of course this is just my opinion
anyone else think the same

Yeah "Sing, Sing" Terry Cullen from TSR's band might be playinig too. Tickets are on sale from the Music Centre box office. Price is a very reasonable €10.
Doors 7.30pm - 3am (including indie-rock club).

I agree with you. It's not very likely that he wrote diaries and journals with an onus on the whole world reading them. This is another move by greedy corporate f**kwits cashing in, because Kurt isn't around to defend himself.
But hey they're always milking dead artists anyway. I mean, how many Elvis books/compilations/ etc etc etc have there been over the years? You couldn't even guess

The man couldnt give a flying bird sh1t what any of us read about him now though in fairness.
It is sick sh1t though, no doubt. The carers of his estate are obviously out to get a few more dollars out of the misery of an addict, just like the dealers of that crap.
On the other hand, the personal diaries of the great poets from before any of our time help to fill out our appreciation of some of the worlds finest writing...i dont know that thats exactly why this is being done though. I would wager its not. Motives are'nt honourable here I reckon!

There are a load of bands in limerick doing a vibe for kurt on saturday night for just €5 or free if you go to a 7 hour music seminar (only €5) before hand upstairs in dolans.

Hey if anyone wants to pay 40 euro for the train down to limerick thats a cool solution.
Bands aren't all playing covers anyway - its pretty much 50/50.
I still think 10 euro for 7 hours of music and mayhem is pretty good.

It seems kinda weird to me that I live in Seattle and there's nothing like this going on. That I've heard of, anyway. I wish someone would get together all the old Seattle greats for a tribute--but it'd have to be a tribute for Layne and Andrew as well. RIP.

I went to City Discs and they said they didn't have any. I was told to go into the Music centre this evening. It better not f**king sell out. I am dying to see Primed and Berkeley.
