Going over next week. Anyone know of any good gigs or venues worth going to over there?

not in NY, but Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ, just across the Hudson is a fantastic spot, gets a tonne of good bands, nice small venue...caught Beck and the Manics play on consecutive nights there a while back

thanks peter, just checked the website, wouldn't you know it! Boris are playing the night before I arrive, always the way. there is a metal tribute to the bee gees on one of the nights, that could be good fun

Do not, do not, do f**king not miss the support act.

A guy from Sweden with a (pre-Highway 61 revisited) Dylan fixation called The Tallest Man On Earth, I think he's great. Amazing guitar player.
