The Good, the Bad and the Queen - The Good, the Bad and the Queen The Go! Team - Proof of Youth M.I.A - Kala Sound of Silver - LCD Soundsystem Dinosaur Jr. - Beyond Top 3 gigs were - Jesus & Mary Chain / Erasure - Electric Picnic Lauryn Hill - Exit Festival, Novi Sad Terry Callier - Paradiso, Amsterdam Not a bad year all round!

Posted By Peejay on 13 Nov 2007 8:45 AM Someones a garage rock fan. Is it really that obvious! I quite liked the Richard Hawley "Ladys Bridge" & Candie Payne "I wish i could have you loved you more". Can't really think of anything else that's really grabbed me, ok i admit i have tunnel vision....

Only catching up on this thread now, and am not gonna do the albums, just five gigs, plus lots of honorable mentions. Breaking all the motherf**king rules along the way, ho yes. Best gigs of 2007: Wilco in Vicar St (take both gigs, divide by two if necessary) The Drones at the Ballroom Of Romance Interpol at Oxegen & RDS (cannae decide) PJ Harvey at the Olympia Battles at Primavera, Barcelona Honorable mentions go to Biffy Clyro for being ridiculously good each of the five times i saw them in 07, CSS for putting on a rather fun Christmas show, Powderfinger in Tripod for unapologetic balls out stadium rock, BRMC in The Village & Ambo for being sexy bastards, Rufus for the glamour, La Rocca get most welcomed home band award, Eagles Of Death Metal for making handlebar mustaches and Irish descendant patriotism cool again, REM for doing it Dublin style, Loudon Wainright III for coolest old folk dude performance, and... thats it I think. A good year for it.
