..........well it's not quite as exciting as that, but has anyone else seen that ad for new cordless telephones or something?i think it's BT .it's on the radio too and the music in it is "in the deep shade" off "for the birds". i wonder how this came about. glen hansard is always ranting about how much it sucks to mix money and art, and how if you attach a money sign to music you are "killing it" type of waffle.maybe it's just that noone was ready to throw money at them at the time he made these statements. this doesn't anger me much personally, good for the lads. what does anyone else think?

if you can do something that you love and make a few bob out of it then you are incredibly lucky, a lot of bands would jump at the chance to have their song in an ad like that, hey the only way sting could get his first single off the last album played was by lobbing it onto an ad for rover so while i am a big fan of the frames i think glen should stop talking through his arse

Personally I think it sucks when bands who are already huge do it. The thoughts of Sting and his tree huggung Amazon exploits rolling around in a 4 litre Jaguar gas guzzler screams of double standards. On the other hand, I think that bands such as The Walls and The Frames should be happy with this sort of exposure - I'd imagine the it gives them the potential to get many more fans so good luck to them!
