    What happened to these bands?

66e, The Rags and Royseven? I heard the latter sacked their manager recently so perhaps might explain some of that. Did the Rags split or was that just a rumour. Was always a 66e fan & loved the debut but having spent some time abroad recently i am a bit out of touch.

Ed left 66e and they're currently looking for a new singer. I don't knowif htey plan on keeping hte name.

Would be surprised if Royseven stopped working with Karl (Carlsberg here), I think he's handled them very well.

The original guitarist (Ciaran) with The Rags left. as far as I know he wrote most of their stuff along with the singer. he's now playing with a band called Distractors

Royseven are touring in Germany at the moment. they have a lot of success over there.

The Rags are still together, Ciaran left (last year) but was replaced by another guitarist, Noel.
they were playing Whelans a few weeks ago for the re-launch of a single (signed by Sony BMG).

    dunno for 66e.

The Rags have been up and coming since the last olympics...maybe the guitarist wanted to move on.....they had great potential but never seemed to go anywhere with it....is the guy that used to run the noise party still managing them? he was a smart geezer...had them going in the right direction.

66e, personally i thought they were bloody boring. saw them at the olympia before, think it was at the jove/royseven thingy....yawn....

Royseven, would not be into the music at all, far too earnest but they seem to be pretty successful abroad.........

The Rags were good the one time i saw them. Seemed to have a newish sound, a bit different from other bands anyway and tight as! I like Royseven and I think they have the right idea staying as far way from ireland as possible. Too many great Irish bands getting stuck in a rut here. This place can't do shag all for them imo. Never seen 66e though i've seen the name about for at least 5 or 6 years.

Anyone know the story with Republic of Loose. Are they gone AWOL too? Not that it really upsets me greatly but I haven't heard anything about them in ages!

The loose have been touring the sticks for the last few weeks.

I think they've released every track from AAAAGH as a Single, or does it just feel like that ?!?

The Loose are a strange kind of group...they have radio friendly tunes in that the songs on the second album are catchy and infectious...

but been honest.....they aren't photogenic in the same way......could get a bit of a milli vanilli thing goin..have the band write and record all the tracks and a couple of johnsons with nice hair dos and clean clothes mime their way in videos to to global domination....

personally i love them, especially live....filthy scummy, debauchered funk in a rick james kind of way, nice......

The fact is I 'm glad they are not singing about lifes problems and traumas, cos lets be f**kin honest, bands in their twenties should be f**kin happy to be alive, i cannot stand these "i saw yo at a party, you ignored me, so i slit my wrists" type of bollocks. Dont get me wrong I used to, then I got a f**kin job and got problems like evryone else........ skippin a f**kin history lecture or two cos me bird dumped me wasnt one of them either...

    long live the loose....
whats the story with the chakras? decent group?
Heard that the Mighty Stef had his gear nicked in the states...life should give that guy the break he deserves, cos as far as singer songwriter types go he's actually spot on...

Yeah Milkman am a fan of the band. Could not find anything on the website as it was down and now appears to be mostly german. Had been away for awhile so was just out of the loop. Tanx for the updates. Will catch them at Marley.
