    The missus was listening to Steve Earle on headphones recently and I was sitting on the couch but I thought she was listening to 'Old Macdonald Had A Farm'. When I found out the the actual track, it occured to me that prehaps every rockstar is trying, in their work, to mimic a favourite track from their youth. Over the last few months, in my limited free time, I have given this a bit of thought and this is what I have discovered. Gwen Stefani's work is inspired by 'Hey Micky' by Toni Bazil Oasis' work is inspired by 'Cum On Feel The Noise' by Slade (which Noel actually covered) Steve Earle's work is inspired by 'Old Macdonald Had A Farm' Franz Ferdinand's work is inspired by 'My Sharona' by The Knack
