there was a brilliant article in the New York Times the other week about this album - they called it "the greatest rock & roll album never made". the costs are currently $13 million and counting

Didn't know Elbow had one coming out, that's one to note down. Bit disappointed that the new Oasis one will only have 11 tracks, I know its the final album with Sony but c'mon a few more tracks wouldn't do any harm. OCS should be interesting, I've always liked them. Any others to be aware of from any genre?

Haven't even been able to buy a lot of albums released lately for financial reasons but I'm looking forward to new ones from Saint Etienne (yes, they're still going), Ladytron and a 6 track EP from Adult.

the new super furry animals record is due in the next few months, as is the new flaming lips one which should be very interesting as it guest features cat power.

I'm particularly looking forward to the afore mentioned new releases from Radiohead, Gorillaz, Weezer, The Strokes, Super Furry Animals, The White Stripes, Belle & Sebastian, Babyshambles, The Magic Numbers and Eels (Especially the Tom Waits collaboration). I'm also hoping that The Rapture, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Sleepy Jackson put out new LPs this year and that the Flaming Lips release "At War With the Mystics" sooner rather than later. Also I'm looking forward to debuts from The Chalets, The Editors, The Subways, The Rakes, New Rhodes, The Duke Spirit, Be Your Own Pet, Johnny Boy and Dogs. And there's always the rumour that the Pixies are going back into the studio. In the immediate future I'm saving up to buy the following; British Sea Power: Open Season - 04th April Tom Vek: We Have Sound - 04th April Hot Hot Heat: Elevator - 04th April Maximo Park: A Certain Trigger - 16th May Four Tet: Everything Ecstatic - 23rd May The Coral: The Invisible Invasion - 23rd May
