lots of irish bands are good. shall we be positive? not many irish bands would'd be my cuppa tea, but fair play to them. work away and go for it. i would dearly LOVE if an irish band released a record i loved, i will be patient with that hope.

Morning, I just heard The Rags playing there new single live on the Ian Dempsey show and i thought it was really good. I have never heard the band before and i have to say i like it. Maybe its the song that started this thread, "razors and ropes" was the name. The guy Dan from the band explained before the song that its about the amount of suicide in Ireland. Maybe its still way too early in the morning but the song has changed my mood for the day and any song that does that is worth its salt. Fair play Ragboys.
spot on my man, anything that provokes thought on breakfast radio gets my vote. all this lark is enough to warrant me checkin out The Rags tonite, theyre launching the infamous single tonite in Whelans. see you down the front yeh?

Yep there are so theres not only one unsigned band played leccy piccy - Radiator is putting on The Urges, The Revellions, Fair Verona and Sick Boy if my mind serves me correctly - the last one there being the one to definitely check out if you only see one of them.

I've nothing more to add. Anyhow, they're talking about Fair Verona's shoes now so I think this thread should be knocked on the head.

I saw Sick Boy play on Saturday night and I thought they were fantastic. 1 part stooges + 1 part cramps + 1 part looking like they actually f**king mean it and aren't in it for the skinny jeans = Superradness. A couple of guys called the Straglers were playing before them and they were very good too.
