It's a solo record and tour from Colin Meloy, although the tour is only staying in the U.S. for now. And I think he is selling a brand new EP at the gigs. He also has a cameo on the new Minus 5 album. Stroller, good call on Isobel Campbell. She plays the Sugar Club next month but not sure if Lanegan will be there. The new album is pretty good.

i finally got my hands on the citizen cope album "the clarence greenwood recordings" so i shall be listening to that. also i got South "With the Tides" so that too. off the point i also got Coldplay's first ep "Brothers and Sisters" its not very good at all, but i digress. a new album from Interpol would be great though wouldnt it?

If you like The Faint, then I'd definitely reccomend a band I've mentioned many times before: Adult. Not going to be everones taste, a lot of people will just probably find it unpleasant and annoying, but if you like stuff like the Faint, you'll probably love it. Latest album is less Electro sounding than in the past, more The B-52s fronted Polly Styrene or Siouxsie Sioux only a bit more unhinged. http://adultperiod.com/ I'll be listening to, well Adult. obviously and the same stuff I always listen to, God knows what new stuff I'll be listening to in 2006, it's like the second week in January, whadya think I am, psychic or something? ...oh OK, probably more BPitch Control stuff and I keep meaning to buy more 60s/70s Soul but not really knowing where to start, I mean I know what I like but just wonder should I bother with some soul artists back catalogue of albums (e.g. Solomon Burke) or just get some really good singles compilations as popular wisdom is that most soul artists were singles rather than album artists really.

As I'm currenlty down under I don't reckon I'll be able to listen to any Irish acts, although, some Auzzie ones that are good are Missy Higgins and Ben Lee, I might be listening to them

Gar, you heard anything about a Colin Meloy Morrissey tribute album? Some mentioned it to me in passing ages ago but I can't remember.

Unicron, it was an EP entitled 'Colin Meloy Sings Morrissey' released last year. There are six tunes on it and again he only released it whilst on tour. It's as hard to track down as the 'John Byrd EP' by Death Cab.

He recorded an EP or an LP maybe where he covered songs by The Smiths i think.
