    Worth checking out Bret's old band, The Black Seeds. They play quite a few gigs here in Wellington, but i think they're touring Europe soon.

    Not related to Nick Cave's "Black Seeds"?!?!? Their sound is excellent... just a tad wanting on the vocal lyrical front. Good, but just leaning a bit on the side of cliched. I want to like to like em more than I do because of that.

    Nick Caves band was the Bad Seeds, wasnt it. Never really got into them though.
    There's a massive Dub scene in Wellington alright. Still manages to get some decent indie bands from overseas though. In the last year, Battles, Okkerville river, Broken Social Scene, Beirut, QOTSA and the Pumpkins have all played here.
