SAT APRIL 17th @ The Retro Revival Club:
THEE VICARS w/ CHEAP FREAKS & THE MIGHTY ATOMICS
    + guest Dee-Jays
upstairs @ Le Cirk Dame St. Dublin.
    Doors: 9pm: Adm: €5

THEE VICARS: The band’s manic energy is palpable; they hit you with a jolt, almost like receiving an electric Shock. But then one would hope that would be the case if you were still aged just 18 and Playing raw rock’n’roll that is shot through with a punk and garage band aesthetic, whilst visually resembling The Jam in 1978 (but a whole lot better looking). Already they are coming on stage to Beatlemania-type screams from teenage girls!

One of the hardest working bands in the UK, they are constantly travelling around Europe and the UK. And their first tour of the USA is coming soon, including an appearance at a Vice Magazine music festival in Portland, Oregon. The Horrors chose them as support act for their first gig in a year for the live debut of the songs from their Mercury nominated album Primary Colours. And the Black Lips chose them as their European tour support during the summer.
During the coming months you won’t be able to help but take note of Thee Vicars!

'The Bury St. Edmunds quartet are something approaching a revelation, they know their Meek from the majority and wear their influences well, there's more than enough here to justify adding 'Psychotic Beat' to the collection box' 8/10 NME

'Thee Vicars are thee most authentic garage punk band this side of The Mummies, who they recently supported on a one off reunion show.' Vice Magazine

'Psychotic garage squall from Bury St. Edmunds quartet who scream and shout over a backdrop that melds Thee Mighty Caesars trash to Sonics/The Jam punk.' Mojo Magazine

'So garage you can park your car in them' Kruger Magazine

CHEAP FREAKS: Garage Punk outfit fronted by ex-Things bassist Robbie Brady…

    THE MIGHTY ATOMICS:
Straight out of a hotbed somewhere between Pulp Fiction, quiffs and a mouldy oul garage, this is The Mighty Atomics

Great article in todays Daily Mirror regarding the first visit to Dublin of Thee Vicars who play tomorrow night @ the Retro Revival Club. Here it is for your reading pleasure.

Thee Vicars are coming to Le Cirk tomorrow night as part of the Retro Revival Club’s foray into new pastures.
The band have been making waves all over Europe & th...e UK supporting everyone from The Horrors to the Black Lips. They are a garage band that have all engulfing energy – their singles are selling out with every release & they are renowned for providing audiences with a wild night of rock & blues that got a stomp to it.
It’s not surprising then that support comes from Cheap Freaks on the night & also The Mighty Atomics. With all this & a DJ it’s well worth the cover price of a fiver!
