    ITUNES SINGLE OF THE WEEK

    'Philosophia', the opening track from The Guggenheim Grotto's debut album '...Waltzing Alone' has been chosen as the iTunes Single of the Week for the week beginning April 17th.

    The promotion is a huge honor as only one song out of the millions of tracks in the iTunes library is chosen each week and made available to download for free.

    'Philosophia' is featured on the main iTunes USA homepage, the music homepage and more.


    '...WALTZING ALONE GOES TO #1 ON THE ITUNES USA FOLK CHART

    Today (the 18th) the band's debut album '..Waltzing Alone' became one of the top selling albums on iTunes and the current top selling folk album.


    'TOLD YOU SO' ON 'STARBUCKS ENTERTAINMENT' COMPILATION ALBUM

    Available on the American iTunes site, the Guggenheim Grotto's 'Told You So' has made the Starbucks handpicked compilation album Discover Your Next Favourite Artist. The band are in good company too, with The Shins, Paolo Nutini, Lily Allen and The Good, The Bad & The Queen, also featuring on the compilation.


    'PHILOSOPHIA' TO FEATURE ON 'ONE TREE HILL' TV SHOW

    More 'Philosophia' news... One Tree Hill is an American teen television drama, currently in its fourth season and airing worldwide. Other Artists to feature on the series include Ray LaMontagne, Damien Rice, The Kooks, Audioslave, DJ Shadow and Dashboard Confessional. Philosophia will appear in the episode which airs in America on the 16th of May.


    FEATURED ON COKE.COM

    The Guggenheim Grotto are featured on the coke.com music website this month as the one of the artists of 'European Beats', the best of new music coming from Europe. Head here to download podcasts and more.


    WERS, NEW MUSIC FORECAST

    Acclaimed Boston based radio station, WERS, feature The Guggenheim Grotto as an artist to watch in their New Music Forecast, April 16th-20th. Other artists featured this week include Charlotte Gainsbourg, Amy Winehouse, Thomas Dybdhal (a current Guggenheim favourite) and Peter, Bjorn & John.

    WHAT ARE THE GUGGENHEIM GROTTO AT NOW?

    Following on from a successful U.S. tour in February, the band are currently in writing mode, recording demos and first drafts for a 2008 album release.
    We've also got a brand new website in the pipeline which we hope to have online by the end of this month.
