I posted this about eight weeks ago. So far, I've got a total of zero responses. I would have thought there'd be at least some smartarse who'd insult me. For the record... Hi, I've been writing/recording loads of rather self-indulgent 4-track cassette demoes for the past year or so now, and would really like to get out into the world. I'm looking for someone to write music with; not only because the solitary thing has got kind of boring, but also because I'm interested in improving as a musician. I've never played any gigs before, but I've got a lot of songs, many of which are still half-formed and could really do with some "collaboration". My own ability on the guitar is alright, but vocally I think I'm pretty limited. I'd be interested in working with someone of more or less the same ability; the grand-plan would be to hopefully write/co-write some decent songs with a view to possibly gigging later on. Influences are pretty wide-ranging, but notables would include the Beatles, the Velvets, the Fall, Talking Heads, etc. I'm in my late-twenties, male, and it doesn't matter what you are providing our personalities make good work a possiblity.
