The Saloon is a regular night hosted in the airy basement of the Lower Deck, just behind Portobello bridge. Bring it on.

Friday August 21st, 8 til late.

Open acoustic mike set, The Bloody Shanks and Friend?

8.30. An acoustic mike set where each gets 2 songs. This will be from 8.30-9.45. Each acoustic act will have some form of accompaniment or seek it in the crowd. This is possible with the sizzling acoustic acts the Saloon has a relationship with, people like Linus O'Brien,Nico Fitz, Dave Long, Moses Moorhouse, Dave Murphy. All good acts.

    9.45-10.50 Friend?

Zouk orchestral sound. They played at midnight at Knockanstockan, testament to their guaranteed good-time vibe.

11-12 The Bloody Shanks - a Tallaght-based band who are very much in the Revellions mould. They are a bit crazy but have a great raw and pyschedelic rock sound. They bought their organ for 50 Euro in a Maynooth charity shop! They will be dressed largely in black and be very cool lookin'. Will get ppl dancing
