Ralph Razor and his beautiful Ralphettes launched their legendary and iconic glam, electro, extravaganza, RAZOR STILETTO five years ago in Sheffield , the birth place of electronic music.
Razor Stiletto quickly became one of the biggest and most influential alternative club nights in the UK , and each event attracts regular crowds of over 500 people with pop stars, party girls, post-modern dandies, existentialists, freaks and misfits traveling from all over the country.
Over the years, the Razor Stiletto’s anything goes entertainment policy has showcased some of the finest up and coming musical talents including Hot Chip, Erol Alkan, The Whip, Metronomy and The Things; plus legendary artists Phil Oakey (The Human League), Richard H Kirk (Cabaret Voltaire) and Mark Moore (S'Express); and also a host of Burlesque Dancers, Performance Artists, Sword Swallowers and Neo Cabaret Starlets.
Razor Stiletto also throws regular parties in London ’s cult underground venue Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, and has co-hosted two highly successful events alongside internationally renowned electro trend setters BUGGED OUT!
Ralph & the Ralphettes have made guest DJ appearances at some of the UK's most famous clubs and parties including Torture Gardens, Nag Nag Nag, Queens of Noize, Glastonbury Festival, and a private launch event for the grand dame of anti-establishment fashion Vivienne Westwood.
The Razor Stiletto crew come to Dublin as the special guests of Psychotic Reaction; Irelands Number 1 rock'n'roll club.
This is their first international date, but will be making guest appearances in Berlin and Paris later on this year.
Live on stage will be DARLINGS OF THE SPLITSCREEN who released their debut single earlier this year on Razor Stiletto Records. and are fresh from performing at this Summer’s Leeds & Reading Festivals.
Expect punky electronics, kinetic arpeggiation and apocalyptic hi NRG meltdowns. Glam disco battling it out with flourishes of avant-weird synth stabs and sirens, equal parts Donna Summer and Delia Derbyshire; beeps, bleeps and dirty bass; softened with catchy choruses and a strong pop sensibility.
