from www.brucespringsteen.net DEVILS & DUST (COLUMBIA RECORDS) TO BE RELEASED IN DUALDISC FORMAT ON APRIL 26 Bruce Springsteen's new album, Devils & Dust (Columbia Records) will be released exclusively in DualDisc format on April 26 in the US, with the full album on CD on one side of the disc and DVD content on the other side. The DVD side will feature the first live performances of Devils & Dust material. Filmmaker/photographer Danny Clinch captured new, acoustic renditions of "Devils & Dust," "Long Time Comin'," "Reno," All I'm Thinkin' About," and "Matamoras Banks," each with Springsteen's extensive, personal introductions. The performances were filmed in New Jersey in February 2005. The DVD side will also contain the entire album mixed in 5.1 channel surround sound and in stereo. Springsteen closed shows from 'The Rising' tour by showing Clinch's black and white, super 8mm film of the performer singing a country blues version of "Countin' on a Miracle," a track from 'The Rising.' Danny Clinch has directed several music films, including "Ben Harper: Pleasure and Pain," and has authored two books of photography. DualDisc releases are two-sided discs with a conventional CD side and a DVD side, allowing artists to use audio and video content on a single two-sided disc. For more information on DualDisc technology, please log on to http://www.dualdisc.com. 'Devils & Dust' Track List 1. Devils & Dust 2. All The Way Home 3. Reno 4. Long Time Comin' 5. Black Cowboys 6. Maria's Bed 7. Silver Palomino 8. Jesus Was an Only Son 9. Leah 10. The Hitter 11. All I'm Thinkin' About 12. Matamoras Banks 'Devils & Dust' was produced by Brendan O'Brien, who first worked with Springsteen on the acclaimed CD, 'The Rising.' The new album was recorded at Thrill Hill Recording Studios in Los Angeles and New Jersey with additional engineering at Southern Tracks Recording in Atlanta. Springsteen is planning a tour to accompany the release of the album. Details will be announced shortly.

Given the artist, the chords to 'Adam Raised a Cain' might be more appropriate

How about, 'Mansion on The Hill' ? "At night my daddy'd take me and we'd ride /through the streets of a town so silent and still / Park on a back road along the highway side / Look up at that mansion on the hill"

Actually my old man has always been partial to "My Hometown", I don't care for it myself, as with most of his mid-80's output it's drowned in synths.

Can't wait - love the Boss - saw him on the Rising tour with E Street in RDS - didn't go to Ghost of Tom Joad tour which I really regret...it is possibly my favourite album ever - Youngstown is an amazing song. Got Devils and Dust single from AOL First Listen thingie and it sounds really good. Looks like he'll play Devils and Dust and GTJ/Nebraska as well as acousticy songs from the Rising - it should be great.

Tickets on sale on this Thursday by the way. No info on ticketmaster yet - hate their new website. Would've liked to see the seating arrangements but presume the Point will have their standard seated concert arrangement.

Quick question. I'm assuming that the floor will have the seats in and that would be the place to go, however if they are gone what are the blocks of fixed seating called? Specifically the one at the back of the venue because I definately don't want to be stuck there.

I presume its 9 a.m. on Thursday, although sometimes Ticketmaster opens at 8. I'm going for 8 to be safe. As regards the seating, for the recent Willie Nelson gig the standing area was flooded with rows of seats so guessing it will be the same again. I was sitting at the back of the venue, which wasn't the worst at all but closer to the front would be good for The Boss.

It's 9 am Thursday. It's standard seating arrangement. Sat in balcony at back for Willie Nelson and it was fine...up front would have been nice. Going for side balconies myself - think they're most expensive but hopefully it'll be worth it. Ticketmaster has some info. Devils and Dust should be interesting. Backstreets message boards has info on lyrics for one song Reno which includes fairly explicit references to anal sex - hopefully Bruce won't be too "adult" on the night.

I got 4. On net - ticketmaster didn't come as sale available until a few minutes past. Got 4 in tiered seating for 85euro a piece (which is daylight robbery as far as I'm concerned!) - tried to reselect tickets but then realised that my other open windows all said that it was sold out so went ahead and got them. Pure fluke on my part. According to brucespringsteen.net message boards they were gone in 6 minutes - according a friend who got through on phone it was in 2 minutes. What do expect when you're only selling 4-5000 tickets??? He's playing London next night so unless he does the Monday night as well (which is highly unlikely) there won't be any chance of getting them without selling your soul.
