ooo I've not heard it except for the one track on their myspace, which sounds quite good indeed

Anyone see the Concerts aa emporter they did? They played 'Start A War'

It's a really intimate setting, and just overall cool.

I am quite annoyed that their European tour encompasses only 3 dates, London, Berlin and Paris i think. However I have heard word of another tour in autumn, and they are doing the festivals I believe.

The National are ace. Looking forward to the new release. One of the best gigs i've ever been to was The National in Whelans in 2005. Well worth checking out.

have to agree on the Whelans gig. It was absolutely amazing, best gig i've seen in Whelans bar Nada Surf last year.

Yeah, that was a class gig, but the Nada Surf gig in whelans the year before that was pure amazing.... the lads were nearly crying on stage afterwards...

Checking The nationals website, they played the coblestone and all

this is great! loved a few tracks off alligator but 'start a war' etc. sound excellent...

shame the european tour's so brief indeed. missed the whelans gig so themselves and wolf parade are up there on my "come back now please" list

The track 'Ada' is also on Blogoteque, it's pretty special too..

A friend of mine knows one them quite well and rumour was they were playing in the Village sometime in the autumn alright. We qucikly advised them to change venue.

Is it possible they will play the soon to be announced Irish sister festival to Latitude??
