Autamata are playing the village on the 26th May. I don’t have any of their albums but really like the latest song ‘Jellyman’ and ‘out of this’. Has anyone seen them live before, are they worth a look? Cheers

Eric, I can’t believe you're asking for someone else's judgment of a band. If you want my opinion, every band deserves at least one chance, so go and see them and be your own person and make up your own mind as to weather they are good enough to go and see again.

Ah, would you relax your kacks Duff man, this is a music forum - the point is to exchange opinions/views on music. I'm well able to make up my own mind on a band. As the aul saying goes if you've nothing good to say don't say it at all.

So what was good about what you said. You say this is a music forum for people to exchange opinions, so, I gave you my opinion!

OK Duff man, thanks for your valuable posting relating to Autamata. Is anyone into Autamata, anyone heard the new album, their performance live? They have a really good site where you can see their videos and hear some songs. I'm really impressed with their stuff but have yet to purchase an album http://www.autamatamusic.com/seehear.html Cheers,

i saw autamata at witnness once, eric, and i was dissapointed. i hadn't seen them before,so my high expections and the festival setting may have been to blame for my not enjoying the show. I had heard they were amazing live and I'm sure there was a reason I had heard this. I might go along myself actually. Why don't we arrange a cluas night out? we can all wear name tags and matching (if ill-fitting) t-shirts. we could play spin the bottle and end the night with a thrilling fight to the death between yourself and duff_man. "how did you enjoy the gig, duff_man?", -"oh my god Eric, why can you never make up your own mind about these things you f**king retard!" -"dont call me a retard you charlatan!" -"i am but expressing my opinion!" -"well, if you want my opinion, it is simply this: i do not value yours!" -"i love you, duff_man" -"i love you too eric". imagine the fun.

Cluas Fight club... underground fighting at gigs, could be a new trend. The first rule of Cluas Fight club is that we don't express our opinions... See you at Autamata - tShirt, name tag n all.

but in cluas fight club we dont have names, you dont have a name until you die....how are ye gonna get over this?... I think you'll find a Zombie death match is the reasonable route to take.

I saw the last Autamata show at The Village and really enjoyed it. I reckon he/they'll have it pinned down even tighter this time. They also have the videos by DADDY projected behind them at the live gigs. Iarla O'Lionard (Afro Celt Sound System) is warming up on the Wednesday night as well. There's an interview with Ken in today's Sunday Times Culture btw.
