the main summer festival in paris is 'rock en seine', usually near the end of july - just beside a metro station, so it's handy for coming and going! I haven't seen any details for this year yet - or for any other festivals. as dromed said, keep an eye on www.fnacspectacles.com - you can search by date, location, etc. there are lots of deadly little events like the 'kill your pop' nights in dijon or the series of concerts in bourges at the end of april. if you go see sebastien tellier, ask him how his mother is. on a recent live radio concert he said he was feeling down that night because his mother had died - which didn't go down too well with mrs tellier herself, alive and well and after telling all her friends and employees (my girlfriend works for her) to listen to her son on the radio... I'd say sunday dinner was interesting in their house that weekend!!!

thanks for that think i might head to the eurokeenes. found tickets are only 122 euro with train there and back for a three day festival with people on the line up like depeche mode morrisey the strokes and muse and sigur ros like oxegen but way cheaper and sounds cooler.
